About the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards

Celebrating the great work you do in the not-for-profit care and support sector.

The Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards were originally created to celebrate the work of small, not-for-profit providers who didn’t necessarily have a PR team or lots of resource to dedicate to showcasing the positive influence they were having on people’s lives.

Care Management Matters and the National Care Forum came together to work on the concept, giving national recognition to the care workforce in a different way. We are now in our seventh year and are delighted to have the sponsorship of Markel and others so we can continue to offer free ceremony tickets to finalists, as well as keeping the Awards free to enter.

The Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards focus on creative arts, community engagement, innovation, quality improvements, integration, technology and governance. These categories and the entry criteria have always been based on specific strategies – from Government and the sector – and have evolved over time to maintain relevance in an ever-changing landscape.

We want to stay true to our roots and really focus on the people and the efforts behind our finalists and winners. Our daytime ceremony creates the perfect atmosphere for knowledge-sharing, while our engaging hosts, Dame Esther Rantzen and Rebecca Wilcox, ensure all winners can share the details of the outstanding contributions they have achieved.

Be a part of this year’s Awards, enter today or talk to us about sponsorship.

We are delighted to announce Markel as headline sponsor.
