Who should apply?

Any individual, team or organisation in the not-for-profit sector who have excelled in their services to the sector. Employees of all levels are invited to share their experiences and contribution to the sector.

If your entry is selected as one of the final three, you will be asked to attend a short interview, where you will meet a panel of judges to discuss your entry in more detail.

You must be available to attend both the interview and the Awards ceremony if you are one of three finalists in your category, otherwise you will be unable to continue in the process.

Key dates

  • Nominations for the awards open: Friday 15th June 2018
  • Nominations close: Friday 7th September 2018
  • Judging Day: Thursday 1st November 2018
  • Awards Ceremony: Friday 7th December 2018

Successful candidates will be informed of the details of their interview no later than Friday 19th October.

Please note, we are unable to amend interview times so please ensure you are available to attend at any time on the day. Interviews will last for approx 30 minutes and you will be required to arrive 15 minutes prior to your interview time.

Benefits of entering

By entering an award yourself or by nominating a colleague who you feel is deserving of recognition, the Awards are a great chance to showcase your dedication or support your peer’s achievements, whilst helping to raise the profile of the hard work carried out in the 3rd sector.

If you are successful

If your entry or nomination is successful and shortlisted to the final three in your chosen category, you and one guest will be invited to attend the Awards ceremony at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.

You will enjoy a 3-course lunch which will follow the ceremony where the winners of each category will be announced.

Being a finalist will offer an excellent publicity opportunity for you and your organisation.

All finalists will be presented with a certificate and trophy at the Awards ceremony. Finalists will also be provided with a Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards winner or finalist exclusive logo to use on your company promotional material and website.

Following the Award ceremony, all finalists will appear on the website and in Care Management Matters magazine.
