Nominations have opened for the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards 2020, and, as the Awards enter their seventh consecutive year, it is more important than ever to recognise and reward the sector’s supreme dedication.
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit social care hard, but many charities have also seen a fall in donations, making this time all the more difficult. Celebrating the passion and determination so many have displayed despite how hard it has been is essential.
These Awards are free to enter, and are for all those working in the not-for-profit support sector, including charities, community interest companies, and informal community groups. Applications can be made online with simple forms to fill out for each category.
Nominations are open to individuals and organisations and groups of any size – whether that’s a small, local club or a charity with national reach. Enter yourself or on behalf of someone you think has demonstrated something exceptional in any of our 12 categories:
- Innovative Quality Outcomes.
- Contribution to Sector Development.
- Community Engagement.
- Creative Arts.
- Making a Difference.
- Dementia Care.
- End of Life Care.
- Collaboration (Integration).
- Campaigning for Change.
The entry process is designed to be as simple as possible, and we know this is important with priorities focused elsewhere. Those nominating will need to select their category, answer a few questions on what they or their nominee are doing and send any supporting evidence to email@example.com to be put forward to the expert judging panel.
Past winners have included small community groups, Chief Executives of independent charities, housekeeping and admin staff, and larger national groups.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in London on Friday 4th December, attended by around 250 people invested in the not-for-profit care and support sector, and will receive an article in CMM Magazine, full social media coverage, an opportunity to share their stories on a national stage, and more.
Go to the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards 2020 website to submit your entry, and follow the progress of the Awards on Twitter: @3rdSectorCare #3rdSectorCareAwards
We look forward to celebrating with you later this year, and wish all nominees the best of luck.
