The finalists have been announced for the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards finalists 2019. Entries came from across the country, with a variety of projects, programmes and examples of exceptional practice.
After an initial judging round, finalists were selected for each category. Recognising achievements in a range of settings, the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards uncover the person, care provider or community group that is going above and beyond on a daily basis and to be a finalist is an outstanding achievement.
Those selected to go through to the next round of judging are:
Leading Change, Adding Value Award for Compassion
Innovative Quality Outcomes Award
Creative Arts Award
Community Engagement Award
Dementia Care Award
End of Life Care Award
Collaboration (Integration) Award
Making a Difference Award
Campaigning for Change Award
Contribution to Sector Development Award
All of the finalists have now taken part in face-to-face interviews with our panel of expert judges where they were asked to share more about their projects, passions and motivations. The winners will be announced on Friday 6th December at the London Awards ceremony hosted by Dame Esther Rantzen and her daughter, Rebecca Wilcox.
The ceremony will see organisations and individuals gather from across the voluntary care sector to celebrate all those who are making a positive difference to people’s lives. A three-course lunch will be served and live entertainment will be performed in keeping with the day’s themes and spirit.
