Nominations for the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards are closing in just three weeks. It's free to enter, so nominate now to ensure you're in with a chance to win.
You can nominate yourself, a colleague, team or organisation in any of the 12 categories. Nominees can be employed at any level of the organisation, including senior management and staff in ancillary roles. The only stipulation is that the nominee must be working in the not-for-profit care and support sector.
It’s easy to nominate – just click on your chosen category and answer a few questions about what you do. It only takes around 30 minutes.
Amongst the 12 categories are awards for:
What significance does compassion have in your organisation? Do you demonstrate compassion in your day-to-day role? Do you focus on care and quality, preventing deterioration in needs, and aim to be as efficient as possible? You don't have to be a care worker to be supporting people in a compassionate way.
Do you know a Board Member, Trustee or Non-Executive Director who has made difference to their organisation? Maybe someone on the Board of your organisation is effecting real change, or perhaps it's a colleague or friend. Nominate them today.
The Citizenship Award celebrates an individual who supports people to be a part of their community. Nominees for this category could be working in a care setting or a community group. They will look past people's disabilities or needs to make a difference to their lives.
The 12 categories and entry criteria are available on the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards website. Nominations will close on Friday 7th September 2018.
Dame Esther Rantzen will be returning to host the ceremony, this time alongside her daughter, Rebecca Wilcox. The ceremony will take place at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square in London on Friday 7th December.
