The National Care Forum (NCF) held its Annual General Meeting yesterday and has announced the appointment of four new NCF Board members.
The new members will be:
- Martin D’Mello, Group Director of Housing Care & Support, One Housing.
- Martin Farrow, Chief Executive, Optalis.
- Dan Hayes, Chief Executive, The Orders of St Johns Care Trust.
- Karen Knight, Managing Director, NorseCare.
Commenting on the appointment of the new NCF Board members, Maria Ball, Chair of NCF and Chief Executive of Quantum Care said, 'Myself and the rest of the Board are delighted to work alongside these members in their governance roles; bringing with them an excellent new set of skills and expertise to help shape NCF as we move forward into the New Year.'
During the meeting it was also confirmed that two existing Board members would be standing down from their roles.
One of these is Carole Sawyers, Chief Executive of Brendoncare and Honorary Treasurer of the NCF Board. Carole was a founding Board member of the National Care Forum in 2003 as Chief Executive Officer of The Fremantle Trust. After a short break, Carole returned to the NCF Board as Honorary Treasurer in 2008 and has held the position for the last 10 years.
Everyone at NCF has expressed heartfelt thanks to Carole for her contribution and service, to not only NCF and the Board, but to all of its members who have benefited from having her years of experience to draw on.
Alongside Carole, also stepping down after serving one term on the NCF Board is Rory O’Connor, Director of Welfare and Policy, RAFA. Again, thanks were issued to Rory for his service and contribution to NCF.
