With a focus on the future of assistive technology, the world’s first Next Generation Assistive Technology Summit (NGAT) will be held at Naidex next week.
NGAT is Europe’s most comprehensive conference on the assistive technology of the future and will provide a detailed outlook at innovative technologies. The Summit will bring together leading international experts, influential innovators, charities, academic institutions and organisations.
As well as the NGAT Summit, Naidex has a stronger focus on technology than ever before. There will be a focus on products, gadgets and tools to assist those living with a disability or long-term condition.
Assistive technology is advancing at such a rapid pace that recent technological developments can help people to regain their vision or recover the ability to walk. The capacity of technology reaches throughout the whole of the disability, healthcare and independent living sectors.
Further to this, the cost associated with the research, production and distribution of assistive technology has reduced dramatically. This means that the futuristic technology of tomorrow is emerging onto the world market today, making it accessible and cementing its role in supporting and advancing an inclusive society.
Naidex will be held at the NEC, Birmingham from 28th to 30th March and is expected to attract over 12,000 trade, consumer and health professional visitors over three days. Attendees will be able to see the very latest technology, products, equipment and services that are shaping the future. The event also has a series of seminars, including presentations from Sharon Allen MBE, Chief Executive of Skills for Care, Simon Munn, British Wheelchair Basketballer and Jonathan Jones, Stakeholder Communications Manager at The Health and Care Professions Council.
Naidex 2017 is under new management with PRYSM Media Group organising the event, injecting diverse content, world-class experts, new features, and leading business and trade into the show.
