Skills for Care has opened registrations for its Top Leaders in social care programme. Senior leaders working in both provider and commissioner roles across social care and health can improve their leadership skills through Skills for Care’s popular Top Leaders programme.
Top Leaders is open for registrations and starts in January 2018. It’s designed to enhance the development of senior leaders working across the public, private and third sectors.
Sharon Allen, Chief Executive of Skills for Care said, 'Working alongside some of the sector’s most senior leaders in social care and health provides a real insight into the different challenges they face as leaders, both within and outside their organisations.
'Through our Top Leaders programme, senior figures can learn how to improve their leadership performance, increase their impact on organisational culture, partnerships and the teams they manage. Top Leaders is a chance to develop strong support networks with other sector leaders across a range of organisations and roles.'
Top Leaders is delivered over eight learning and development days, six of which are residential, over a four-month period. The programme is supported by focused activities, practical tasks and working with leadership and management tools, which can be used to cascade and embed learning back into the workplace.
Mandy Thorn MBE, Managing Director at Marches Care has completed the programme saying, 'Top Leaders was one of the most personally challenging courses I have undertaken and the most productive in terms of what I learnt about myself and my approach to my work within health and social care. I returned back to my business enthused, encouraged and positively changed by the whole experience.'
Earlier this week, Skills for Care opened applications for its Moving up BAME programme.
