The Single Assessment Framework: CPA’s Findings & CQC’s Next Steps

Liz Jones is the Policy Director of the National Care Forum, joining the organisation in May 2019. Liz has a strong background in social policy, care and support and health and housing , with over 20 years’ experience across the civil service, local government and the charity sector including Methodist Homes (MHA), Nottingham City Council and Manchester City Council. Liz has strong research and analytical skills, along with consultation/engagement skills, and brings with her a passion for ensuring that the voices and views of the people and communities we serve are central to our policy development and implementation.

Amrit is an established Care Provider in adult social care and has first-hand experience of working in the sector and the complex range of issues that our members face. She has also practised as a solicitor specialising in Regulatory Compliance and Health. She brings this wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as National Care Associations Compliance Director.

Lynette joined Right at Home UK in 2021, bringing a wealth of experience in Adult Social Care, particularly in regulation and Quality and Compliance. Her passion for empowering providers to understand and prepare for the Single Assessment Framework has shaped the internal auditing programme within the Right at Home Network. In November 2023, Lynette supported a Right at Home Franchise office in participating in the CQC Early Adopter Programme for the Single Assessment Framework. Recognising widespread concerns with the adoption of the Single Assessment Framework, Lynette committed to advocating on behalf of providers. This led her to collaborate with the Care Provider Alliance on Professor Sir Mike Richards' independent review of the Single Assessment Framework, advocating for the Homecare Sector.

Emma Lindblom is Head of Quality Improvement at MHA, a charitable organisation currently operating over 100 services for older people in England and Wales. Emma was the NCF’s representative member on the CPA Steering Group for the CPA CQC Single Assessment Framework review report.
